Solar Thermal Panels

Solar thermal panels are a renewable energy source that can produce about 70% of hot water requirements over a year.

They pre-heat hot water with relatively no maintenance. Generally they need to be backed up by an immersion heater or oil/gas heating

You can get the best results for solar panels when placed on a south facing roof, but east/west kits are also available.

Shean Mechanical Contracts fit only the best quality solar collectors in the form of Kingspan, Viessmann, Worcester Bosch and Westfa.

The main types of solar collectors are vacumn tubes and the more appealing flat panels , whether they are on roof or built in.

We can offer a 20 year warranty on Kingspan panels and vacumn tubes as we are accredited Kingspan installers.

Solar thermal is now a more attractive form of renewable because of the RHI grant scheme with and initial payment £320 and a yearly payment in most cases of about £200-£250 a year for 7 years depending on solar collector size.
